The bright sun falls upon me. It shines through to my soul to reveal my nakedness. My emptiness. What happened? I can guess. I have awoken, curled up into myself, lying under a dead tree. A trickle of warm scarlet drains from my womb, soaking into the now damp earth. My legs, weak and trembling. My body, absolutely aching. I grab on to the trunk of the tree, and with all my weight I pull myself up. I can walk, just. I stumble and limp my way out of the park. There is no-one around. It's early. What's the point now? There's only one place to go. It's nearby. I go for a walk along the train tracks and I wait.
